I am hoping to join the Society Wedding & Portrait Photographers at some point when funds allow, but in the meantime I subscribe to their newsletters.

Whilst browsing through one of the newsletters I noticed a free webinar from Aspire Photography Training, as this is also a company that interests me I thought I would take part in this webinar.

The title of the webinar was ' How to run a confident business' and was run by Aspires owner Catherine Connor.  She ran through the reasons why it is important to be confident in your business dealings. She also said you need to ask yourself what the word means to you.  I think it means trying to achieve my aims and believing in myself. This is not being arrogant according to Catherine but rather a necessity as by being good and confident at what you do makes you achieve your aims. You should always make sure you prepare and know your craft this way. 

The hour long webinar was all about confidence and how to portray yourself making sure that negative images and thoughts are not shown, she also advised moving away from any forums you are part of that are full of negative people or views. I felt I learnt a lot from it all it made me stop and think about what I wanted from photography and also how I am going to start and work towards that goal,. I also need to stop comparing myself with other people which can be difficult to do but it is very easy to spend so much time comparing yourself you can lose sight of your own aims and abilities.

This is the first webinar but she said she hopes there will be more in the future, something I will defiantly be looking out for.
