Project A Comfortable situation.

The first exercise in this section is called Developing your confidence. This is going to take a lot of doing for me as street photography is something I find extremely difficult to do, partly I think its to do with the age we are living in and peoples mistrust of anyone with a camera.

Once again I am weather dependant as this first exercise needs to be done outdoors.
Finally there has been a few dry minutes (literally a few) when I have my camera with me and I have been able to grab a few shots.
I work in a small town called Faversham in Kent and hoped to be able to use my camera fairly comfortably on a market day to take some photographs.
I noticed that people tend to look at you with a bit of suspicion when you have a camera in your hands and I tried to move around a bit and look as if I was photographing some of the old buildings in the market place.  I also noticed that people would walk out of the way of the camera which if you are trying to take a photograph somewhere with no one in it they never seem to do it.

I took all these at F7.1 with an iso 0f 400, I opted to use aperture priority as I wanted to be able to take photographs quickly without having to worry too much about what settings I was using.

As far as post production is concerned I have done very little, just a small amount of shadow adjustment in camera raw and some slight exposure adjustment before using the unsharp mask.

I was hoping to get some closer shots of people but as I have stated previously most people seemed to cross the street as soon as they saw the camera even though I was using it at 200mm.

There is a group of three photographs towards the bottom of the set that show three people they was unaware of the camera and I was really hoping to get some more expressions from them but with out any luck.

In regard to when I started to feel uncomfortable I would have to be honest and say I was uncomfortable from the start and the feeling got worse as I went on.

I am really not enjoying being this far out of my comfort zone.
